Green Paper challenge October 2012

For this month's Green Paper blog challenge, I used elements from Mary's chosen pieces to create this digital collage. I've also posted the originals so you can see what elements I chose to use, color from one to create a frame and text from the other two pieces.
And here are the challenge pieces:

I used only small portions of two of the pieces of ephemera but they were crucial to the finished collage.

September Green Paper challenge

I've produced another digital collage for Mary Green's September challenge featuring a fall school theme. It's always interesting working with imagery I might not otherwise have put together. Here, I've combined a variety of pieces from my stash to create a background for Mary's ephemera.

Collage

Current art projects include this piece (detail above), featuring a vintage paper ephemera collaged background, handmade papers and two bird altars. It's been one of those projects where the main elements came together quickly but its taking longer to decide what little bits need further work.

Summer

Quiet days by the lake are the essence of summer vacations. When its cold and rainy or hot and sticky, just conjure up this mental picture and relax.

Green Paper blog challenge piece

This is the piece I created for the March 2012 challenge on the Green Paper blog. I pulled together elements from the 3 images we were given to produce a digital collage. Though I initially wasn't sure how to create a relationship between them, once I started putting things together, a story-line took shape. Thanks to the Green Paper blogger for another fun opportunity.

Well I haven't been very good at following up with the blog after my initial try out with this medium but I still have hopes of turning it into something more fruitful. I post digital collages on Facebook every week so I'll pass along a little sample from that venue. Enjoy!
